FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions About Composite Bonding

Composite bonding is a cosmetic dental treatment that uses tooth-coloured resin to enhance your smile. This versatile procedure can repair chipped teeth, close gaps, reshape teeth, and improve the colour of your teeth, providing a natural and seamless finish.
The cost of composite bonding typically starts from £250 per tooth. For an exact price, we recommend scheduling a free consultation where we’ll assess your needs and provide a personalized quote. We also offer 0% finance options to make your treatment more affordable.
With proper care, composite bonding can last between 3 to 7 years. Factors like teeth grinding, nail-biting, or eating hard foods may reduce its longevity. Minor chips or damage can be easily repaired, and we recommend routine maintenance appointment for polishing and touch-ups to keep your smile looking its best.
No, composite bonding is a non-invasive treatment that won’t damage your natural teeth. The resin is applied directly to your tooth’s surface without removing any enamel. Plus, it can be safely removed or adjusted if you choose to change your smile in the future.
Composite bonding is ideal for addressing aesthetic dental issues such as chipped teeth, cracks, gaps, discolored teeth, worn enamel, and minor misalignments. It’s a great option for patients who want to fix small imperfections without extensive dental procedures.
You don’t need perfectly straight teeth to undergo composite bonding. Composite bonding can sometimes be used to correct slightly crooked teeth. However, if your teeth are severely misaligned, the results may not be as optimal. Your dentist will assess your case and provide recommendations based on your specific needs.
To maintain the integrity of your composite bonding, avoid using your teeth to open packages, chew on pens, or bite your nails. Also, be mindful of hard foods like nuts and bones, which can cause wear and tear on your bonding. Taking good care of your bonding will ensure it lasts longer.
Yes, composite bonding can stain over time, especially if you frequently consume tea, coffee, red wine, or foods with strong pigments like turmeric and curry. Regular hygiene appointments and polishing can help keep your bonding looking fresh. Just like with natural teeth, try to avoid anything that could stain a white shirt!
